2025 DAY OF SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES!

Bountiful residents can help commemorate the events of September 11, 2001 by participating in the Bountiful Day of Service. Organized each year by civic, service, and faith groups to coincide with 9/11, the Bountiful Day of Service is a community-wide effort to promote unity and caring. This year’s Day of Service will be held on Saturday, September 13. Here are ways you can participate:
Projects available
- Food Drive for Bountiful Food Pantry - Focus Project
The Bountiful Food Pantry will have a great demand for food in the coming months. Look for donation bags and flyers on your doorstep with more information in the coming weeks. Please place food and donated items on your porch by 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13. Volunteers will collect donations. Items can also be dropped off directly at the Food Pantry anytime. Other Service Opportunities:
- Mueller Park Jr. High Park
Mueller Park Jr. High (955 East 1800 South) is a popular park for family activities, tennis, and ball sports. Volunteers are needed from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on September 13 to paint dugouts, pull weeds, haul trimming, and for general clean-up activities. Volunteers should bring shovels, rakes, gloves, and wheelbarrows if possible.

The Bountiful Pond, located at 1600 North Legacy Frontage Road, is a heavily used recreation area popular for fishing, boating, and walking. Help is needed to remove vegetation, haul trimming, pick up trash, and generally clean up the trails, pavilions, and recreation areas. The project begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13. Volunteers should bring gloves, rakes, and tarps.

- Trail Project
The Bountiful trail system is ever-growing and in need of help to maintain city and Forest Service maintenance standards. Volunteers are needed to help remove weeds and invasive plant species from the city trail between Hidden Lakes Circle and the Summerwood trailhead. Volunteers should bring hand trimmers, shovels, gloves, and tarps. The project is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 11:00 a.m.

- Neighborhood Fire Mitigation
The North, Mueller Park and Heights Emergency Districts are organizing volunteers to help remove undergrowth and provide defensible space around homes that border Bountiful’s hillsides and valleys. If you are interested in volunteering or having help in your yard, contact the project organizers in your district (click to see what district you are in if needed): - North – TBD (call City Hall at 801.298.6140)

- Monetary Donation to Bountiful Food PantryThe Pantry also provides perishable items such as milk to families in need. These items are purchased through generous donations.
